For the first time, Ava Jacobs, of East Meadow, on Tuesday met Linda Dolinger, who received her daughter Alexis' kidney. Jacobs had asked for the kidney of her 27-year-old daughter, who died in a skydiving accident, to be donated to Dolinger, of Bellmore, who suffered renal failure. “This is a story of an incredible young woman who had the courage to dream a heroic dream," Dr. Ernesto Molmenti said of the donor at a news conference Tuesday at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset.
