Two Long Island men face possible life terms when they are sentenced May 22 for the killing of a Yonkers mother and the wounding of her husband and 12-year-old daughter.

Charles Parsley, 28, and Kasaun White, 29, were convicted in March by a Westchester County jury of second-degree murder, attempted murder and other charges.

"These defendants planned and carried out the murder of a woman, the shooting of her husband and 12-year-old daughter, then calmly left the scene and were driven off all as residents in the community were in and around the area," Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore said.

Hackley was gunned down in her Yonkers apartment on April 21, 2010, when one of the assailants sneaked into her building using a UPS delivery disguise. When Hackley's husband, Rafael Cornielle, opened the door to accept delivery of the package, two gunmen burst into the apartment and started firing. Hackley was shot five times in her living room and died at the scene. One of her daughters was shot in the leg. Cornielle, who was shot multiple times, fled from the building.

Yonkers police tracked the assailants down to Nassau County and arrested them along with a third man, alleged getaway driver English Thomas, 28, who is awaiting trial on murder and attempted murder charges.

Police and prosecutors never disclosed a possible motive for the attack on Hackley, a marketing professional who worked in New Hyde Park.

Parsley and White were sent back to the Westchester County jail after being convicted of second-degree murder, second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and first-degree burglary. They face a maximum term of 25 years to life when County Court Judge Barbara Zambelli sentences them May 22.
