Lido Beach man set up for robbery by Brooklyn woman, cops say

A woman who police said set up a 21-year-old man to be robbed in his Lido Beach home was arrested Thursday, along with one of the robbers.
Nassau police said about 1:30 a.m. on May 14, the man invited Rebekah Silverman, 23, over to his Buxton Street home to "hang out." Silverman and the victim were in his bedroom when Silverman went outside for awhile.
About 15 minutes after she came back, two men entered the bedroom. The first man flashed a gun and demanded money from the victim, taking two gold-colored necklaces, a men's Rolex watch, an iPhone, a laptop computer, and the victim's wallet with an unknown amount of cash, police said.
After the two men robbed him, they forced the victim to lay on the floor and used his bedsheets to tie his hands and legs. The suspects then fled the home, police said.
When the 21-year-old broke free, he called police. On May 23, after an investigation, police found and arrested Silverman, of 27 Arion Pl. in Brooklyn, and one of the robbery suspects, Tywain Sinclair, 22, on the corner of Broadway and Melrose Street in Brooklyn.
The second male suspect has not been arrested.
Silverman is charged with two counts of first-degree burglary and second-degree robbery. Sinclair, of 579 Grand Ave. in Brooklyn, is charged with second-degree robbery, two counts of first-degree burglary, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon.
Police said the pair were arraigned May 23 at First District Court in Hempstead. Information on the outcome of their arraignments was not immediately available.
