A fire aboard a bus heading east on the Long Island Expressway at Exit 43, South Oyster Bay Road, was reported around 1:42 p.m. Thursday, according to Nassau County police.

No injuries were reported, though it was unclear whether the bus carried any passengers.

The right and center lanes of the eastbound expressway were blocked, and the investigation is continuing, police said.
