All lanes have been reopened on the westbound Long Island Expressway in Plainview between Exit 48, at Round Swamp Road, and Exit 46, at Sunnyside Boulevard, Nassau County police said.

During the morning commute an overturned car that resulted in one injury had shut down most lanes of the LIE westbound between those exits starting at about 7:30 a.m., leaving only the HOV lane open.

The state Transportation Department had said it expected the lane closures to last about two hours, as police investigated the accident and cleared the roadway between Round Swamp Road and Sunnyside Boulevard.
