The eastbound Long Island Expressway in Old Westbury has reopened after a woman going west hit a tractor trailer, then a box truck, Nassau police said.

The expressway was closed between exits 40, Jericho Turnpike and 41, Routes 106 and 107, for about four hours following the 8:15 p.m. accident, police said.

The woman first hit a tractor-trailer on the entry ramp of Exit 40, Jericho Turnpike, police said.

She then hit a box truck on the expressway, police said.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, police said. The other drivers were not hurt, police said.

No other details were available.

On the westbound side, a disabled car caused traffic delays, police said.

According to the state transportation website, westbound lanes were closed just west of Exit 40W.
