LIE reopens after truck accident snarls traffic

An accident involving an overturned truck at Exit 37 of the westbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway has been cleared and all lanes are now open.
The expressway was shut down early this morning as police investigated the accident that has caused massive delays during the morning commute.
Traffic was diverted off the highway near Willis Avenue and caused a traffic jam as far back as until Jericho Turnpike, according to News 12 Long Island. Alternate routes, including the Northern State Parkway, were affected as well.
