The Long Island Expressway reopened at noon Friday after a truck fire on the eastbound side at Exit 36 in North Hills closed the eastbound shoulder and the right and center lanes, officials said.

The lanes were closed at about 11 a.m. There were no injuries, Nassau County police said, but there was a fuel spill.
