LIRR: Buses to replace Port Washington trains early Saturday

The Long Island Rail Road said buses and vans will replace four early morning trains Saturday on part of the Port Washington Branch while track testing is conducted.

The 1:18 a.m. and 3:04 a.m. eastbound trains will terminate at Great Neck and passengers will take a bus or van to Manhasset, Plandome and Port Washington, the LIRR said.

The 2:10 a.m. and 4:10 a.m. westbound trains will originate at Great Neck. Buses and vans will operate between Port Washington and Great Neck, where passengers can board the train.

The buses or vans will leave Port Washington up to 38 minutes earlier than normal train times, the railroad said.
