LIRR: Disorderly customer delays eastbound train in Mineola
A disorderly customer on a Long Island Rail Road train from Penn Station to Ronkonkoma caused a 29-minute delay in Mineola Wednesday as police were called in to restore order on the eastbound train.
Rail road officials could not immediately say if anyone was arrested.
A rail road spokesman said the 10:16 a.m. train from Penn Station, scheduled to arrive in Ronkonkoma at 11:37 a.m., was held in Mineola for 29 minutes as Metropolitan Transportation Authority police boarded it.
It was unclear what the customer had said or done to cause the train staff to ask for police assistance.
