The Long Island Rail Road's holiday schedule also means no service on the West Hempstead branch and between Greenport and Ronkonkoma on the Ronkonkoma branch, the commuter service said Monday.

The holiday schedule for Martin Luther King Day has 37 extra trains added to various branches, the service said on its website, and off peak fares are in effect all day.

Also, while there is no service on the West Hempstead branch and between Greenport and Ronkonkoma on Monday, alternate train service is available at Hempstead, Lynbrook, or Valley Stream and at the Montauk branch stations, the LIRR said.
