Long Beach League of Women Voters holds candidate forum Thursday night
The Long Beach League of Women Voters and the Long Beach Public Library are holding a candidates forum Thursday night for the Long Beach City Council and the Nassau County 4th District Legislature.
The Long Beach City Council race features three Democratic candidates, incumbents Anthony Eramo, Len Torres and challenger Anissa Moore. They are running against a Republican slate of Brian Higgins, Angelo Lomonte and Catherine Quinn. They also face off against Green Party candidate Joseph Naham.
The legislative race pits Republican Legis. Denise Ford against Democratic challenger Keith Lebowitz.
All candidates were invited to attend Thursday evening.
The forum is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Long Beach Public Library, 111 W. Park Ave.
