Long Island Expressway east reopened after closing at Exit 39 for accident, Nassau police say
All eastbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway were reopened at Exit 39 shortly after 10 a.m., Nassau police said.
The highway had been closed at Glen Cove Road in North Hempstead around 3:30 a.m. due to an overturned vehicle, the state transportation website said.
No additional details were provided.
