Loop parkway reopened after bridge repairs

The Loop Parkway has reopened in both directions after the Loop Bridge, a drawbridge crossing Jones Inlet in Long Beach, was stuck open, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.

Mechanics were on the scene repairing the bridge, which became stuck for unknown reasons at around 4:17 p.m., said a department of transportation spokesman.
