Lustgarten Foundation’s fundraising walk canceled due to rain

The Lustgarten Foundation’s annual Pancreatic Cancer Walk scheduled for Sunday morning at Jones Beach in Wantagh has been canceled, the sponsors said.

The walk and run was canceled “due to unsafe conditions at the beach.”

“We have been advised that sadly we cannot hold the pancreatic cancer research walk today,” the foundation said. “We have never had to cancel a walk, but your safety is our top priority.”

No rain date was announced.
