A former student at Mepham High School in Bellmore was arrested Friday after it was reported to authorities that he talked about wanting to shoot everyone at the school, police said.

Peter Andersen, 28, of 1404 Dewey Ave., was arrested on a felony charge of making a terroristic threat, Nassau police said.

Andersen, a 2002 Mepham High graduate, was heard making the threat on Dec. 22 and the school's principal and police were notified, police said.

First Squad detectives began an investigation, which included a search of Andersen's residence. No weapons were found, police said.

He was to be arraigned Saturday in First District Court, Hempstead. Further details were not immediately available.
