A man who stabbed another man in a bar fight in Uniondale back in April using a broken bottle was arrested this week, Nassau County police said.

Priestly Green, 29, of East Merrick Road in Uniondale, was arrested Tuesday in New Jersey, not only for the assault, but also for two burglaries this year, police said.

Green was arrested in Mount Holly by members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force, New York State Police and Nassau police detectives, police said. He was charged with first-degree assault, three counts of third-degree burglary and violating parole. Green is scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead, police said.

Police said the assault occurred inside Coco's Pub on Nassau Road in Uniondale on April 2 at 3:15 a.m. Police said Green took a broken bottle and stabbed a 31-year-old man in the face, then stabbed him in the abdomen with what police called "an unknown instrument."

The victim suffered a severe eye injury, police said.

Both wounds required surgery, police said.

Police said that following the assault, it was determined that Green was responsible for the store burglaries.
