Man charged in Cedarhurst car break-in
A man broke into a car parked in the driveway of a Holly Lane home in Cedarhurst early Saturday morning, Nassau detectives said.
Police charged Kevin H. Lawrence, 23, who is homeless, with criminal possession of stolen property. Lawrence was first spotted before 3 a.m., trying to break into cars parked around Central Avenue, police said.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
