A man who robbed a Capital One Bank branch in East Meadow last week was arrested Thursday at a hotel in West Hempstead, police said.

Barry Costa, 54, of North Gate Drive, Uniondale, was arrested at the Courtesy Hotel on Hempstead Avenue at 4:40 p.m., Nassau County police said. He was charged with third-degree robbery and was taken to a hospital for what police said was an unrelated medical condition. He will be arraigned later.

Police said Costa entered the bank on Merrick Avenue on Nov. 12 at 5 p.m. and demanded cash from a teller. The teller gave Costa an undetermined amount of cash, and the man fled, police said.

Police said not say what led investigators to Costa.
