Man charged in Levittown bar break-in
A Levittown man was arrested Tuesday and charged with a break-in at a bar on Wantagh Avenue in Levittown in late April, police said.
Dane Mitchell, 46, of Whisper Lane, was charged with third-degree burglary and is scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
Nassau County police said Mitchell was arrested after Eighth Precinct officers recognized him during a review of security surveillance video.
Police said Mitchell broke the front glass door of Kelsey's Bar on April 29 and stole cash from a safe. The break-in occurred at about 3 a.m., police said.
He was arrested at his home.
