A Queens man was arrested Thursday and charged with second-degree attempted burglary in a break-in attempt at a Levittown home in late January, police said.

An accomplice has still not been caught, police said.

The incident occurred Jan. 26. Nassau County police said the homeowner was driving to her house on Newbridge Road when she stopped at a light and saw two men leaving her yard. Police said she watched as the men entered a black Nissan and drove off.

Police said that when the woman arrived at the home, she noticed the gate was open and saw that two window screens had been pried open - and that fingerprints were clearly visible on one window.

Arrested Thursday was Robinson Valdez, 19, of 109-12 Northern Blvd., Corona who is charged with second-degree attempted burglary.

He was scheduled for arraignment Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.
