A Queens man has been arrested in a string of thefts of high-end tires and rims between November and last month, authorities said.

Christopher Moise, 27, of 220th Street in the Laurelton section, was charged Saturday with three counts of third-degree grand larceny.

The thefts took place throughout Nassau County and involved tires and rims taken from Mercedes-Benz vehicles while they were parked overnight.

Authorities said Moise is suspected of being involved in at least three of the 26 reported cases. Those incidents occurred Jan. 2 on Hampton Boulevard in Massapequa, Jan. 4 on Grand Avenue in Bellmore and Jan. 31 on Edna Court in Baldwin. Police are investigating whether he's responsible for more.

Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano and acting Police Commissioner Thomas Krumpter had put out an advisory about the larcenies involving 2014 and 2015 Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

"These thefts are occurring throughout the County," the advisory said. "We are asking residents to be diligent and if they see persons in their neighborhoods acting suspiciously, to please call 911."

Moise was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead Sunday and bail was set at $15,000 cash or bond.

The investigation continues and detectives said anyone with information could call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
