A man was struck and killed by a Long Island Rail Road train in Seaford on Sunday afternoon, railroad authorities said.

The unidentified man was struck about 12:20 p.m. at the Seaford station by a train from Babylon scheduled to arrive at Penn Station at 1:12 p.m., LIRR spokeswoman Margie Anders said.

That train was canceled and rescheduled to depart the Seaford station at 12:55 p.m., according to the LIRR's Twitter account. Anders said the incident involved only one track, but commuters should expect delays on the line.

There was no additional information immediately available Sunday afternoon.
