A man who Nassau police thought might have been shot and put in a trunk in Inwood has been found unharmed, police said.

Police said Sunday they were searching for Aurelio Maldonado, 25, who they said had been possibly shot, abducted and placed in the trunk of a vehicle near Mott and Lawrence avenues in Inwood at 12:35 a.m.

Police on Sunday night reported that Maldonado was found “and is in good physical health.”

They did not release any additional information, including where he was found.
