A Great Neck man who broke into a Kings Point home Tuesday tried to hide in the laundry room when officers arrived, Nassau police said.

Ryan Hematian, 21, first went into the home's garage about 3 a.m. to get tools to break into the house, and once inside, he stole prescription medication, police said.

When he heard voices, he hid in the laundry room, where he was arrested, police said.

Hematian, of 17 Split Rock Dr., is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on two counts of second-degree burglary, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
