A man seated in his car near the Long Island Rail Road station in Woodmere was robbed by a knife-wielding bandit who took his wallet and car keys Monday morning, police said.

The 33-year-old victim told Nassau County police he was seated in his car at the intersection of Woodmere Boulevard and Station Plaza when the robber approached him at 7 a.m.

Police said the robber "displayed a knife" and demanded the driver's wallet.

After stealing cash and keys police said the robber met up with a woman. However, it was unclear if she was involved.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.

All calls will remain anonymous, police said.
