Nassau police are searching for a man wearing a skeleton mask who robbed a collector's shop in Plainview on Friday afternoon.

Police said a man armed with a knife walked into Coin Galleries of Oyster Bay, located at 1056 Old Country Rd., about 12:45 p.m. and demanded cash from the store's register. After he was given an undisclosed amount of money, the robber fled.

He headed east through the parking lot, then north on Lester Place toward Knowles Street, police said.

The suspect is described as being 6 feet tall with a medium build. Aside from the mask, police said he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
