Man killed in Bethpage car accident

A man was killed early Thursday morning when his car left the road in Bethpage and struck a tree on Boundary Avenue, police said.

The man’s identity was not released pending notification of next of kin, police said.

Nassau County police said the accident occurred just before 5 a.m. The road was closed for investigation at Stewart Avenue until after 10 a.m.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
