A bank inside a Levittown supermarket was robbed Friday morning, Nassau County police said.

Detectives said the suspect, who has yet to be apprehended, entered the Bethpage Federal Credit Union inside the King Kullen grocery store at 3284 Hempstead Tpke. shortly after 10 a.m. and handed a note to a teller.

The man told the teller that he had a gun, although police said no weapon was displayed. After obtaining an undetermined amount of cash, the man fled, detectives said.

The three employees and one customer in the store at the time were not hurt.

The suspect is described as 5-foot-8, 40 to 50 years old, with a thin build, and wearing a blue baseball cap, a long-sleeved faded red shirt, camouflage shorts and white sneakers.
