A lone gunman robbed a Metro PCS Sprint store on Franklin Avenue in Franklin Square late Monday afternoon.

The robbery occurred at 4:55 p.m., Nassau County police said. The man walked into the store, flashed a handgun, demanded cash - and got it.

Then, police said, he ran south on Franklin.

The robber was described at 6 feet tall, wearing a black hoodie, dark blue jeans and a black ski mask. Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous, police said.
