Crime Stoppers and Nassau County police said Thursday they are looking for a man who robbed an Oceanside Burger King nearly two weeks ago.

Police released photographs of the suspect, who at about 5 p.m. Jan. 5 entered the restaurant at 3190 Long Beach Rd. and bought a hamburger.

Police said the suspect then left the Burger King, only to return five minutes later with his face covered by a scarf. He asked for another burger, and when the clerk opened her cash register the suspect implied that he had a weapon in his sleeve, police said.

He then made his way to the rear of the counter, taking $144 in cash from the register, police said. Afterward, he fled on foot east on Weidner Avenue and got into a black Honda with tape covering white New York State license plates, police said.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
