A 21-year-old man was stabbed as he walked away from a bar in New Cassel early Sunday morning, Nassau police said.

Police said the victim had just exited a bar, which police did not name, near Union Avenue and Monitor Street about 4:05 a.m. when he was stabbed several times in the torso and arm by unknown assailants.

The victim was taken by private car to a hospital, where he was admitted for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police had no descriptions of the suspects.
