Man stabbed twice in Plainview
A 20-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition after being stabbed twice in a daylight assault in Plainview, Nassau County police said.
The stabbing occurred at 5:45 p.m. Monday on Jamaica Avenue, police said. The victim, whose identity was not released, was stabbed twice in the back -- one wound puncturing a lung, the other lacerating his liver, according to police.
Police said two men were seen running from the area.
No motive was detailed.
Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the stabbing to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
