Police said the man was let into the closed Walmart at 200 Sunrise Mall about 1:25 a.m. by a store manager who thought he was an employee. The man was described as wearing khaki pants and a blue shirt, similar to the uniform of a Walmart employee.

Once inside the store, police said the suspect pointed a black hand gun at the manager, forced him into the room where the safe is kept, and ordered him to open it and fill a black duffle bag with money.

The man then fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. Police said the suspect has a medium build and was wearing eyeglasses and "orange/white" gloves.

Detectives ask anyone with information to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
