Manhasset crash leaves Toyota Camry driver injured, cops say

Nassau County police are investigating a single-car crash in Manhasset Monday night that seriously injured the driver.

Police said a man, 53, was traveling north on Community Drive at about 10:45 p.m. when his 2014 Toyota Camry “veered across the southbound lanes striking a metal fence and a tree.”

Police said the man, the Camry’s lone occupant, was taken to a hospital where he was admitted in serious condition.

The car was impounded for brake and safety check and no charges are pending at this time, police said.
