Manorhaven village speed limit to be reduced to 25 mph

The Manorhaven Board of Trustees has reduced the village speed limit to 25 mph from 30 mph, officials said.
The board approved the law passed unanimously at the trustees’ Feb. 25 meeting. Village officials say they want to reduce traffic and improve safety in the community, clerk-treasurer Leslie Gross said.
The effort had been spearheaded by a resident. Gross added that people had been speeding in the residential areas where many students walk to school.
