Four men were rescued by a Nassau County Marine Bureau unit after their boat capsized and they became stranded on marshland in Great Island Channel off Seaford early Thursday evening, police said.

None of the men, three who are 19 and one who is 20, were injured.

Police said no charges were filed in the incident, which occurred just before 8 p.m.

Police said the four were in an 18-foot boat when it hit the marshland and overturned.

The four ended up on the marsh area before one of them swam for help, police said.

A marine unit, Marine 6, and volunteers from the Wantagh Fire Department were dispatched to the scene -- and the marine officers rescued the remaining three boaters.

The four were then taken safely to John Burns Park in Massapequa, police said.
