Nearly 56 years ago, civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. delivered a speech before 1,200 people at Temple Beth-El in Great Neck about a country he saw as divided, calling it “two Americas." This year to commemorate King's speech the temple invited state Attorney General Letitia James, the first woman and Black person elected to that role in New York, to address the congregation.  Credit: Newsday/John Conrad Williams Jr.; Howard Simmons; Great Neck Record; Photo Credit: Newsday Stan Wolfson, Al Raia; Agence France Presse/Central Press/Getty Images/TNS
