Three masked men, all armed with handguns, robbed a grocery store in Hempstead late Sunday, Nassau County police said.

The robbers entered the Village Express Deli & Grocery at 427 S. Franklin St. about 11:30 p.m. and threatened the store's cashier, police said. The men took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled on foot south on Franklin Street, police said

The clerk was not injured, police said.

Detectives asked anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
