Police arrest East Meadow man in ballfield snack shop theft

An East Meadow man faces burglary charges in the theft of an undisclosed amount of cash from a ballfield snack shop, Nassau County police said Friday.
Matthew E. Reginella, 22, of 566 Oakdale Rd., was seen on video surveillance entering a Town of Hempstead park snack shop at the Salisbury Park Drive and Carman Avenue at about 10 a.m. on Wednesday, police said.
Reginella took cash from the register, police said, and he was later arrested at his residence.
Reginella is charged with third-degree burglary and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
