Two firefighters suffered minor injuries battling a house fire Tuesday night in Plainview, Nassau County police said.

The firefighters were not identified and refused medical attention at the scene.

Police said the fire at the home on Brook Path was reported at 11:05 p.m. All occupants of the home were able to evacuate without assistance and were uninjured, police said.

About 75 firefighters from the Plainview and Hicksville fire departments responded to the scene with eight trucks.

Authorities said the fire appeared to start in the basement, but the cause remained undetermined. It was not deemed suspicious.
