A 78-year-old woman with dementia who was reported missing in East Meadow has been found, Nassau County police said.

Gabrielle Momplaisir of West Hempstead was reported missing on Friday night, police said in a news release Saturday.

Nassau police said a Hempstead Village police officer found Momplaisir on Rutland Road in Hempstead on Saturday. She was unharmed when the officer found her. Momplaisir was returned to her family, police said.

Before that, she had been last seen at 1:13 p.m. Friday in East Meadow, Missing Persons Squad detectives said. She had been expected to return home on a public bus from Nassau University Medical Center, but she never arrived. She was reported missing at 8:32 p.m.
