An elderly couple from Elmont, missing since Thursday after they failed to return home after a doctor's appointment, were located in good condition by police in upstate Haines Falls Friday night, police said.

A Nassau police "Silver Alert" was put out for Joseph Pagliaro, 83, and his wife, Barbara, 78, last seen Thursday at 12:40 p.m. leaving their Valley Stream doctor's office. They were expected to return home but never arrived, police said.

They were found by local police driving in their car in Haines Falls, a community near Hunter Mountain, sometime after 9 p.m., Nassau police said.

No additional information was released by police.

Initial concern for the couples whereabouts came from their son.
