A mother and two of her children, ages 10 and 2, were struck by a vehicle while walking in Hempstead Saturday afternoon, police said.

The family was near the corner of Clinton Street and Fulton Avenue around 3 p.m. when the crash happened, Hempstead Police Lt. Vincent Montera said.

All three were taken to Nassau University Medical Center where they were treated for nonlife threatening injuries.

No one, including the driver who remained at the scene, was seriously injured, Montera said.

"There's really no follow-up investigation and no charges," he said.
