More teeth-chattering cold this weekend

"Unseasonably cold" may be how the National Weather Service is terming Sunday's weather, but Long Islanders can keep themselves warm with the thought of warmer temperatures during the week.
Sunday's highs didn't get out of the 20s, with temperatures closer to the lower teens in the pine barrens and the lower 20s in the city.
Lows tonight are forecast to drop to around 17.
Temperatures are expected to start to rise Monday, with highs in the lower 30s.
The Weather Service is forecasting the trend to continue all week, with temperatures by Thursday expected to hit 40.
Which to frozen Long Islanders may feel positively balmy.
