Sanan Malik, 28, of Elmont, killed in motorcycle crash in Garden City

A motorcyclist, identified by Nassau County police Sunday as Sanan Malik, 28, of Elmont, died after colliding with a luxury car on Old Country Road in Garden City on Saturday afternoon.
Malk's 2021 Kawasaki crashed with a 2007 Lexus sport utility vehicle driven by a 66-year-old man near Prescott Street just before 4 p.m., authorities said.
The collision happened on a straight stretch of Old Country Road between the courthouses and the Roosevelt Field mall.
The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and first responders pronounced him dead at the scene, according to police.
The driver of the SUV was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
The Nassau County police homicide squad was investigating the collision.
