Motorcyclist hurt in Southern State Parkway ramp crash

A motorcyclist crashed and was injured Sunday while driving on a ramp onto the Southern State Parkway, New York State Police said.

The motorcyclist was on the ramp to the westbound Southern State Parkway from the southbound Meadowbrook State Parkway just before 1 p.m. when the crash occurred, police said.

The rider was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow for treatment of injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Police did not release the age or gender of the motorcyclist.
