Motorcyclist injured in Syosset crash
A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a Syosset accident Tuesday, Nassau County police said.
The rider was not identified. Police said details of the crash were still emerging.
The crash was on Jackson Avenue near the intersection with Underhill Boulevard about 9:30 a.m. The crash scene is north of Jericho Turnpike.
Police said Jackson Avenue was closed in both directions. It was not clear how long it will remain closed.
The motorcyclist was taken to Syosset Hospital. A medical helicopter was dispatched to the crash scene but later called off, police said.
