N. Babylon man dies in motorcycle crash
A motorcyclist crashed and died Friday night on Ocean Parkway just east of Gilgo Beach, state police said.
Steven Impellizzeri, 23, of North Babylon was traveling west at a high speed when he crashed about 7:30 p.m., police said. He was thrown from his motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The high winds on the parkway may have contributed to the accident, police said.
Ocean Parkway was closed for three hours as police investigated the fatality.
