Nassau: 9/11 candlelight ceremony this evening at Eisenhower Park
The names of Nassau County residents who died in the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, will be read aloud during a sunset candlelight and remembrance ceremony Thursday at the 9/11 Memorial in Eisenhower Park.
The ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. at the memorial, near Parking Field 6.
“The passage of time does not diminish the tragedy that our nation suffered 15 years ago,” Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano said in an advisory about the event.
